Ep. 154 – Finisher Anointing

June 15, 2023

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

One major goal I have for my life is to finish well. It’s become common in the Church that ministers do not have a strong track record of finishing well. Only 7% of ministers and their ministries work well. Others have veered off the path due to misguidance, distraction, loss of heart, or being sluggish in their walk, but the scripture above tells me that we are fully capable of finishing well. Grace has been given to us through Christ to be kept by the Holy Spirit. We must cling to Jesus through the challenges by fixing our eyes on Him. He alone is the author and finisher of our faith.

Our gaze becomes clear when we look to Him, and all the things that do not matter fade away. May we let go of the distractions and “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
